My Final Wedding Update!

February 21, 2018

Hey guys!

So.....it's wedding week!!!!!

I have absolutely LOVED being engaged, and I wanted to recap and give some advice that I have learned over the past year of planning! My experience has been so fun and stress free, and I wanted to share a few of my favorite moments from the past year leading up to the big day!

My number one tip is to BOOK YOUR WEDDING VENUE IMMEDIATELY!!! Luckily, I got my first pick of venues, but I was truly shocked by how booked they all were! Don't procrastinate on this! After that, I immediately booked my photographer and band!

Get your dream dress!!! The dress was so important to me, and I truly can say I got my dream dress! There is absolutely nothing about it that I would change. It was so fun to get sent sketches while my dress was being made, and get to design it exactly to my vision.

Use online tools!!! Weddingwire has a detailed checklist and it kept me so on track! I think this was a key tool in keeping me from getting too stressed throughout all the planning. There is nothing better than checking off a list!

Have a shower! I opted for one, big shower instead of multiple small ones, and I am so glad I did! It was so much fun to have all the women I care about get together to celebrate! Parker and I received SO MANY great items off our registry, and I couldn't be more thankful!

Find a signature nail color and scent! This sounds SO random, but someone told me this when I first got engaged, and I took to it! My go-to nail color is Mod About You by OPI, and the perfume I have been wearing is Chanel No.5!

Also, wear your wedding band for a day! I tried mine on at the jewelry store and thought it fit great, then Parker had the idea for me to wear it around just to make double sure, and I ended up thinking it felt too small! We were able to get it resized, but thank goodness for Parker! I would have never thought of that.

Having a wedding planner is a must, as well! We couldn't have made it without mine and she has made the whole process so pleasant!

You guys!!! We made it! I can't believe I am getting married on Saturday! I hope you liked my little bits of advice that I have learned along the way! I have had such a perfect engagement experience, and I am beyond thrilled to start married life!

Next time you hear from me I'll have a new last name!

xoxo, Mallory
