All About My New Hair

October 3, 2018

Hey guys!

I knowww this post is long overdue, but I really wanted to get the hang of my new hair and learn all my tips and tricks to wear and style before I share with you all. I am going to be sharing some of my most common faq's as well as a few styling tips!

Now on to the questions!

Before cutting the hair

1. What kind of extensions did you get?

I got the Habitat Hand Tied Extensions from House of Aglaia Salon in Germantown! I had been researching for months on what kind of extensions I wanted to get, and I stumbled on House of Aglaia's Instagram and I knew I had to go. And the extensions I got are the least damaging to my hair, which is SO important to me!

2. How many rows did you get and how long?

I got 2 rows! I have SUPER thin hair, so I did two to start and might do 3 next time! I looove having two and think they give the perfect amount of fullness but still look very natural. As far as length goes, my hair is super long already, so we went with the 22'' to match my hair and get rid of gaps I had in the ends.

3. Can you wear your hair up?

Absolutely YES! I do barre classes everyday and am always putting it up and you can't see them at all. And I have such a full ponytail now which has always been my goalsss!

4. How much does it cost?

It varies from person to person depending on so many things like length, rows, etc! The best thing to do is book a consultation!

5. How long do they last?

You want to get them moved up every 8-10 weeks and the hair lasts about 6 months! I think that is seriously such a long time which is amazinggg!

6. Are they worth the price?

I would say absolutely YES! I think getting quality hair is so important, and the stylists at House of Aglaia are so well trained so they make sure the hair is super natural looking, but still glam. I can't tell the difference between my real hair and the extensions, so that's when I know they are nice!!! I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair in my life and I am so thankful for the hard work from Natalie and Ramona. From my research and experience with hair extensions, the price was pretty normal compared to some other types of extensions!

Now on to some random tips and things...

My absolute favorite part of the extensions besides the thickness is that MY HAIR WILL CURL!!! The extensions will hold curl for days which is honestly life changing.

Another thing that is amazing is that they blow-dry straight. It is really nice to not have to also straighten it and minimize the heat I use! They have a natural wave to them if they completely air dry, it looks like mermaid hair!

Also, I can now go every other day between washing my hair (maybe more if I wanted to)! I used to have to wash it every day because it was so thin, but with these extensions I don't have to at all!

Another random thing I wanted to ad is how well these extensions hold curl. I don't even use hairspray anymore! I have always hated the crunchy feeling of hairspray, so this is honestly the best.

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS?!

If you can't already tell, I cannot say enough great things about these extensions and I cant imagine my hair without them! If you decide to get them or just book a consultation, please let me know! I would love to have someone else to talk to about them and honestly it'd be so much fun to se someone else's transformation!

See you guys on the blog soon!

xoxo, Mallory
